Marshell Levell (June) Meeks Jr was born June 28, 1952 in Junction City, Arkansas to the late Marshall and late Beatrice Meeks. He united with Mt. Pigeon Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Curtis Davis at an early age. Later he united with the St. Mark Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. R.J Atkins, where he served as a host of titles until his health failed. 

He attended Rosenwald Elementary school and later graduated from Junction City High School. He graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a Bachelor Degree of Business Management. He was a troop leader and worked with the Boys Scouts of America for many years encouraging young men to be hard-working, honest and productive citizens. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge. He worked at Entergy as a senior journeyman, where he retired after 36 years of service. After retirement, he worked for the Columbia County Sheriff Office part time and continued encouraging the inmates to make changes and better their lives.  
Marshall married Lorraine Jones and to their union three children was born.

He is preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Beatrice Meeks and one sister Mildred Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 46 years Lorraine Meeks, two brothers John Meeks (Marcellia) and Eddie Meeks (Janice), one sister Mary Wilson, one son Marshall S. Meeks, two daughters Kokeitha Meeks Sutton (Andre) and Erika Meeks Mack (Ronnie). He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Marquasia, Dondre, Marshaun, Lagayla, Camren, and Malik, two great grandchildren, King and Kaeden, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
