Brother Robert Goode was born in Emerson, Arkansas to the late Obie D. (Boy) and late Velma Jackson Goode on May 5, 1940.  He departed this earthly life on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 2:26 a.m. in the LSU University Health Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Irene Goode Lindsey, and three brothers: Ozie, Louis and Tommie Lee (T.L.) Goode.

At a very early age Robert accepted Christ as his personal savior at the Pine Hill C.M.E. Church in Emerson, AR.  He later united with the Trinity C.M.E. Church in Magnolia where he served as a Steward and as an Usher.  Brother Goode loved his church and remained a member until his death.

He received his education in Emerson, Arkansas from the McMittress Public School.

Robert united into holy matrimony on December 3, 1976 with Mary Louise Brown in Magnolia, Arkansas. To this union one child was born, Nikita Denise and another child, Marchelle Warren was reared.

Brother Goode loved cooking and was known as a grill master.  He always took pleasure in cooking and grilling for family and neighborhood functions.  Fishing and traveling were two of his favorite hobbies.

He was employed at Cantex of Magnolia for twenty-three years.  He later became an employee of W.C. Partee Sr. and W.C. Partee Jr.  Robert was a dedicated and committed employee for over thirty years with the Partee family.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife: Mary Louise Goode of Magnolia, AR; one son: Byron (Lethesa)Goode,Sr of Little Rock, AR; two daughters: Machelle Warren of El Dorado, AR and Nikita Goode of Magnolia, AR; one sister: Catherine Poole of Dallas, TX; two aunts: Irene Bullard of Pine Bluff, AR and Darlene Tucker of Magnolia, AR; one uncle: David Jackson of Fort Washington, MD; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one aunt-in-law: Lula Jackson of Magnolia, AR; one sister-in-law: Alice Goode of Magnolia, AR and a loving extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
