Caldwell "CW" Easter Jr. was united in holy matrimony to Tearee Yanette (Courtney) Easter. Their union was blessed with one son, DeOvonte Easter, who resided with them.
In 1955, Caldwell "CW" Easter Jr. began his educational journey at Hermitage Elementary School in Hermitage, AR. He graduated from Westside High School in Waldo, AR, in 1966. In 1970, CW earned a bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, formerly Arkansas AM&N College. He later achieved a Master’s degree in Education from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX. CW retired in 2013 as an elementary educator with the Conroe Independent School District in Conroe, TX.
CW was preceded in death by his parents, Caldwell Easter Sr. and Celestine (Stephens) Easter; paternal grandparents, Telvis and Ronie Easter Satterwhite; maternal grandparents, Crosby and Alzia Stephens; father and mother-in-law, James E. Courtney and Sadie M. Courtney; and brother-in-law, Napolean Moss Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 24 years, Tearee Easter; three sons, Telvis Todd Sr. of Stephens, AR, Caldrinoff Easter, and DeOvonte Easter of Houston, TX; one daughter, Katherine Thames of Woodlands, TX; two Godchildren, Torrell Johnson Sr. of Pearland, TX, and Raven Mixon of Waldo, AR; four grandchildren, Telise Todd, Travelle Todd, Telvis Todd Jr., and Tyson Todd; and two great-grandchildren, Mekhi Floyd and Kingston Floyd. He is also survived by two loyal and loving sisters, Pastor Celquetti Easter of Grapevine, TX, and Celya Ridley (Robert) of Ovilla, TX; an aunt, Betty Compton (Arthur) of Antioch, CA; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Prevoe and Sandra Turner Jackson, who played a significant role in caring for CW, running errands, and sharing worship services; and two close cousins, A'Gia Davis and A'Seneque Daniels. He will be fondly remembered by numerous cousins, friends, nieces, nephews, former students, and classmates.
Funeral services will be held at the Columbia District Auditorium in Magnolia, AR with interment at Davis Chapel Cemetery in the Lumber, AR, community. Bro. Michael Turner will officiate, and Rev. Clennon R. Lee Sr. will deliver the Eulogy.
