Christene Carrington was born on June 14, 1947, in Atlanta, Arkansas to the late Joshua Carrington and Selmar Carrington. She joined Mt. Israel CME Church at an early age. She was an active member of the church. She retired from Con Agra. She departed this life on December 28, 2025, at her daughter's home in Little Rock, AR. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Lisa Carrington of Little Rock and one son Christopher Carrington of Magnolia. Three sisters, Catherine (Alvin) Manning, Corene (Bobbie) Young of Little Rock, five brothers, Lonnie (Annie) Ricky (Freda) of Magnolia, Joshua Jr. of McNeil, Winston (DeDe) of Texarkana, Danny (Michelle) of Waldo. 

Funeral service will be held at the Mt. Israel CME Church and interment at the Mt. Israel cemetery. Date and time are as followed below.
