Elisha “Chuck” Cochran, Jr.
It is with great sadness to announce that Elisha “Chuck” Cochran, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the age of 81. Elisha was born on May 7, 1943 in Magnolia, Arkansas.
Elisha attended Columbia High School and graduated Valedictorian of his class in 1963. He joined The United States Army for 4 years with a status of Military (MP) Policeman. Continuing his career in law enforcement, he became employed in 1971 with the Camden, Arkansas police department, where he received numerous promotions - Patrolman to Lieutenant, Sergeant to Captain and recognition from the Mayor of Camden as he took on the position as Chief of Police. He continued to broaden his knowledge by attending The University of Louisville Institution and Southwestern Law Enforcement Academy in Dallas, Texas. Elisha also had the honor of retiring from Lockheed Martin as security for the company.
Elisha was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bernice Russell and Elisha Cochran, sisters Eloise Lee, Virginia Biddle, Patricia Floyd, Walter Cochran and two nephews Craig Biddle and Terry Hunter.
He is survived by and leaves to cherish his memory sons and daughters Wanda Jo Sturges of Village, AR, Scotty Cochran of Magnolia, AR, Lawrence Bernard Hildreth (wife Yolonda Hildreth) of Rowlett, TX, Elisha Cochran III (wife Richie Alcantara-Cochran) of Ewa Beach, HI, Chrystal Yvonne Maree Graves of Mesquite, TX, Marva Sondrietta Graves(twin) of Dallas, TX, and Elisha Gerod Graves(twin) of Dallas, TX and Wendolyn L “Wendy” Hulum (sister of Elisha Cochran III and loving bonus daughter) of Little Rock, AR;

The wake of Elisha Cochran, Jr. will be held at Marks Funeral Home in Magnolia, Arkansas on Friday, November 8 at 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. for family viewing and 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. for public viewing. Please kindly respect the 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. times will be reserved for immediate family only.
Funeral Services will be held at Marks Funeral Home chapel in Magnolia, Arkansas on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2 p.m. Elisha’s final resting place will be at the Twenty-Third Psalm Cemetery of Columbia County.
Elisha “Chuck” will be truly missed and remembered by his loved ones and others who knew him forever.
