Rev. Willie A. Wyrick

December 8, 1944 ~ August 21, 2023 (age 78) 78 Years Old

Obituary

Willie A. Wyrick was born December 8, 1944, to the late Dewey Wyrick and Allie Cross Wyrick in Stephens, Arkansas. On August 21, 2023, in the comfort of the Springs Nursing Home Facility, he peacefully transitioned from his earthly vessel into the arms of the Lord to spend eternity.

He was a 1963 graduate of Carver high School of Stephens, AR. After high school he enlisted into the United States Air Force, where he served his country for 25 years. Not long after, he was called into ministry where he served faithfully until his health began to fail.

On March 2, 2009, he married Pearl L. Jackson. To this union no children were born. They were married 14 years until he went home to be with the Lord.

Willier was indeed a man of God, accepting his calling into ministry, and serving faithfully. In his younger years, Willie played basketball and was a good sport at it. He also loved to fish where he was given the nickname "Fish." He was a very soft-spoken man, loving, gentle and kind. He loved family gatherings and eating good food. He will be missed dearly.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Pearl Wyrick of Stephens, AR. His son; Declan Alexander Wyrick of Oakland, California, his daughters; Vickie Denine Wyrick Johnson of Surprise, Arizona. A host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at the St. James AME Church in Stephens, AR. Bishop Robert Arnold will serve as the eulogist. Interment will be at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Stephens.
